Dumfries and Galloway Council partner with BookingLab to provide greener travel options to staff

Dumfries and Galloway Council partner with digital transformation specialists, BookingLab, to roll out a new pool car booking system.

BookingLab will be leading a transformational project to deliver a personalised booking system to enable council-wide pool car bookings. The SaaS roll-out aims to combine multiple technologies to provide easier access to pool car fleet and facilitate ride sharing between users traveling to similar destinations.

Building off the JRNI Customer Management platform, BookingLab will integrate both their own proprietary software and the councils licence checking system, DAVIS (provided by Licence Check), to deliver self-service, smart allocation of vehicles and automation of controlled staff access.

Once complete, the booking service will provide significant back office savings by reducing existing administration duties and by providing better visibility on demand and usage for financial reporting.

This project is another step in BookingLab’s mission to provide innovative solutions to drive efficiencies in transport.
